lane_about3Lane Allison is an actor/director/writer/producer originally from Highland Park, IL, on the North Shore of Chicago. She has called Los Angeles home since 2009, where she happily resides with her husband, Mark, and their adorable cats.

The pilot episode of the new web series After Pluto, for which she is co-creator/producer, writer, director, and an actor, launched on YouTube 2/28/2017. Ms. Allison is a proud member of The Open Fist Theatre Company, where she recently joined the staff as Membership Manager.

Her TV/film work includes an episode of BET Network’s Vindicated, the short films The Deserted with NYFA and Kidnapping with Ion Films, and Gloria for Reese’s Puffs Extraordinary Cinema/Dreaming Tree Films, as well as the web series Room For Shenanigans with Asta Forever Films and the fake/mock trailer Deleted (co-producer, director, and writer).

Previously, she been a member of The Production Company, where she performed as Jennifer Sorenson in I Fart in My Sleep: Confessions of An Embarrassing Life and as Babe/Enid in the musical Working. Other ProdCo credits include Blitzen in The Eight: Reindeer Monologues, and for their Members’ Forum she was honored to direct Blue Window and work with director David Youse as his assistant director on The Blue Moon Dancing. At the Hollywood Fringe 2015 she played The Guide and six “Other” characters in Only The Moon Howls, which won the Encore! Producers Award and was extended at The Actors’ Company; and played Beth/The Nurse in No Ex’p Required at The Complex.

Other theater credits include TJ in Title3’s World Premiere of Constance Congdon’s Paradise Street (Attic Theatre), Leslie in Sum of Her Parts – midwest premiere (Side Project), Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Chicago Actor’s Studio), and Sally in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Lincoln Square Theatre).
